About

Welcome to E56.de. This is my private website with information about projects I'm involved, dissertation work and other things. Enjoy it.

Have you wondered why it's called www.e56.de? E56 is short for Elvis 56 a great CD. His variety of music is impressive: from rock to rockabilly, from gospel to pop. And still in the the official UK singles charts (Top 3 today, 6.3.2005, UK Single Charts).

Objectives

I use this website as a presentation of my activities. Currently, I am in working on new and creative projects (university or industry).

Interests

My interests are wide spread, among others:

  • Music in general
I'm playing guitar and keyboard and now trying to hit the bongos (see projects)
  • 3D graphics environments
The history of my 3d graphic engines is long. The most impressive one was written for an SGI Onyx-2 (and later Onyx-3) and rendered a 30x25 square km terrain on 4 graphic pipes with 11 channels. The engine was also capable of radar simulation. Other engines included multi-PC rendering capacity to build n-sided CAVES.
  • Computer games
I'm addicted to computer games (even though I'm not a though e-sports man).
  • and many more
